Asked why she chose register her legacy in the modeling
industry, Evelyn said “I just went for it. I love fashion and I believe in this
life, you have to go for what you want; else you will get stuck in something
you do not love. I just love modeling, it is fun. ”

Evelyn Bentil, who always wants to be unique in her
photography, had her first photo shoot session with Steven Adusei, one of Ghana’s most prolific
photographers. The model who has been on three different runways has also had
the opportunity to be in photo shoots with Flashmechanics and Grandberry. She
says the photographers she has worked with so far have been a necessary boost
for her career, giving her pictures that won a lot of attention especially on
social media.

Ms. Bentil belongs to the Modelkode Agency. Sharing her view
in agencies in general, she said that modeling agencies need to be more
creative, work more as a team and should come up with more creative photo
concepts. “It looks like most agencies are doing the same thing the same way
and it is not bringing diversity in the business”, she added. She also advised
agencies to come up with different ways of grooming models.
What is your view on sexual harassment in the modeling industry?
The vice is very prevalent in the industry and ladies
especially suffer the most. It is not perpetuated by just managers but
colleague male models are also culprits. Everyone wants to have a piece of
young beautiful models before they offer them contracts.

Maame Serwa who enjoys so much support and encouragement
from her family hopes to see herself as an accomplished air hostess and super
model in the next ten years. “Young talents are the future leaders and so in
everything they do, they should do it well and believe in themselves no matter
the situation they find themselves in,” she advised.
